Beyond Proscenium: Canvas Constructions

A workshop to encourage interdisciplinary awareness among playwrights and directors will be conducted, built around Shakuntala Kulkarni’s canvases. These canvases deal with an artist’s impression of theatre performances and their dynamics, and are mounted around wooden platforms, blocks and steps of various sizes.

Amol and Chitra Palekar are the creative coordinators of this workshop. As a prelude to this workshop, a few of Shakuntala Kulkarni’s canvases and installations will be on view at the foyers of the Experimental Theatre and the Little Theatre.
