The Northeast region of India has a history of varied people in a unique terrain of hills, tropical forests, and innumerable rivers. The local building traditions are influenced by the abundance of materials, such as bamboo, as well as by the severe climatic conditions. Aromar Ravi will review vernacular and upgraded buildings from Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Tripura, and Mizoram.
