V-IDEO: Ideas Worth Sharing

V-IDEO (www.v-ideo.art) offers the worldviews of artists, critics, and others in the art world to a global audience. The current focus is on India but it will expand to Asia and beyond. It currently provides seven short videos on every featured artist. Six of them deal with different topics addressed through two or three questions. The second video displays twenty artworks of the artist.

While there are many art videos freely available on the Web, V-IDEO’s unique strength lies in the quality of the questions asked and in the same questions being asked of each artist, allowing many interesting comparative insights and discoveries by experts, students, and art lovers. In other words, the website as a whole is much more than the sum of its parts. It creates a large, deep, and engrossing picture of the contemporary art world that is not available anywhere else.

The Mohile Parikh Center provides academic expertise to V-IDEO as the knowledge partner, offering a distinctive curatorial approach to the project.
