Fun with Flipping: Basics of Animation

Animation is a combination of art, aesthetics and skills. The dictionary describes the word animation as ‘to give life to’ and the children will be shown various short films and popular advertisements on animation. After this exercise, they will create animated flip-books that will illustrate stories described by the children themselves.

The Animation Society of India (TASI) has been formed with a view to increase awareness of the medium of animation in India. It aims to educate the emerging generation and the public at large and at the same time provide a platform for exchange of creative and technical information within the existing art and animation fraternity in India.
