Documentation is the tracing of spatial and temporal continuities through the recording and representation of objects and environments. Different civilizations have differing concepts of memory, resulting in a variety of physical manifestations of the same. The process of research and documentation helps provide a tangible form to the otherwise ephemeral landscape of memory.
Ahmedabad based architect Miki Desai (co-author, of the recently published book ‘Architecture and Independence’ will demonstrate his connection to the physical environment drawing upon three decades of his experience in documentation.
