Improvised Theatre and Building of Narratives
Facilitator: Suruchi Aulakh
NGO: Pankhudi Foundation
In association with The Pomegranate Workshop
June 20, 2009 |10.00 am to 2.00 pm
Pankhudi Centre, Mumbai
The workshop will adopt a step by step approach through constructed theatre games and activities which will enable the children to become comfortable with language and performance. Language inhibitions too will be worked upon in this workshop through activities that will help the children see language as something that can be ‘played with’. This will help the children to lay total emphasis on body language to convey what they needed in performance.
Suruchi Aulakh helps individuals and organizations tap into their inner potential through the medium of theatre. She has a rich theatre experience – a career spanning over 15 years, both on stage and in teaching the dramatic arts. She studied Theatre and Psychology at Loyola University, Chicago. She is also a trained Bharat Natyam dancer. This enables her to blend elements of dance and theatre effectively.
