Making Murals

Invoking personal experience through acts of telling and listening are meaningful ways to connect and learn in community settings. The workshop will explore examples of murals and their inter-relationship between public art and human engagement. Navigating architectural space and daily objects, the children will make sketches and paintings based on their personal narrations and immediate environment. The workshop will culminate into a mural entirely created by the children representing themselves in their art.

J. Shrinivas and Prajakta Khedekar are artists and muralists, working with a range of communities in Mumbai.
