Louisa Bufardeci is an Australian artist based in Melbourne. Her works are tied to conceptual practices and reflect particularly on the use of statistics to represent the predicament of being human. In her works, she questions the validity and usefulness of statistics and highlights their role as a political tool. Her media are varied and have included video, installation, painting, sound art and kinetic sculptures. Much of her work is experiential and emphasizes the importance of presentation in defining the meaning of information.
