Ways of Seeing

The 5-day workshop titled will be conducted by the well-known artist Bhupen Khakhar. The participants will be senior level students from selected art schools and colleges from different parts of India.

Ways of Seeing will not only explore the different points of view inherent in a given theme but the amazing range of variations in the way artists from Rembrandt to the Rajput miniature painters, to Cezanne to the Modernists have treated this theme in their work. The programme will extend to the whole day and will include in addition to the practical work, slide shows, films and lectures by experts from affiliated disciplines. A day’s session of the workshop will be conducted by Nalini Malani, the reputed artist from Mumbai.
